Frequently asked question
How does laser hair removal work?
The laser emits light that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle. This destroys the hair follicle and inhibits hair growth
Is laser hair removal permanent?
The treatment leads to a long-term reduction in hair growth, but occasional follow-up treatments may be necessary
How many sessions are necessary?
As a rule, 6-8 sessions are required, depending on skin type, hair thickness and the area of the body being treated
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Most people describe it as a slight pinch or a warm tingling sensation. More sensitive areas may react more intensely
Is laser treatment safe?
Yes, if it is carried out by a certified specialist. Side effects are minimal if the aftercare recommendations are followed
Who is laser hair removal suitable for?
It works best on dark hair and light skin, but modern lasers can also safely treat darker skin types
Can the treatment be carried out on all skin types?
Yes, modern devices are suitable for almost all skin types. Special settings are required for darker skin to avoid pigmentation problems
Which areas of the body can be treated?
Almost all hairy areas of the body, including face, legs, arms, armpits, genital area, chest and back
Can men have laser hair removal?
Yes, men often have their back, chest, neck or beard line treated
Does the treatment also work on blonde, gray or red hair?
Laser targets melanin in the hair, so the treatment is less effective on very light-colored hair
How do I prepare for my laser session?
- No sunbathing or tanning for at least 2 weeks before the treatment.
- Shave the treatment area 24 hours in advance.
- No waxing, plucking or depilatory creams before the session.

- No hot showers, saunas or swimming pools for 24 hours.

Why is my hair still growing after the treatment?
The hair only falls out after 1-3 weeks. Some hairs are in a different growth phase and require further sessions
How long should I wait between sessions?
Usually 4-6 weeks, depending on the treated area
